Summary Reader Response - Outline
“How can
southeast Asia's clean energy transition be sped up?”
A. Implement
low-carbon technologies
B. Nuclear
power plant as one of the important clean energy source
C. Business
owner and policy-maker involvement in
sustainable energy
Southeast Asia should grasp the chance to
improve the ecosystem, livelihood, and economy by quickly incorporating various
sustainable methods in producing clean energy.
A. Implement
low-carbon technologies
· Feature and function
of low-carbon technology
· “Low-carbon
technology, reducing the use of fossil fuels, energy conservation, developing
new energy, alternative energy and improving the current situations of global
warming are fundamental ways to solve above problems”(1)
· Solar photovoltaic (PV) a
low-carbon technology systems
B. Nuclear
power plant as one of the important clean energy source
· Nuclear energy
being a remarkable source of electricity production
· “Nuclear power plays a much bigger role in advanced economies, where it
makes up 18% of total electricity
generation”. (2)
· About 400 gigawatts of electricity is generated from various countries.(2)
C. Business
owner and policy-maker involvement in
sustainable energy
· Government
should advertise the benefits of using sustainable energy
·
“To adopt
renewables more quickly, Southeast Asia needs more innovation to reduce costs
in the power, industrial and transportation sectors, said Moniz, adding that
technology, business and policymakers must collaborate more closely”.(3)
· Government
should motivate, promote and fund the research on clean energy
